Couldnt see a thread on NATO so thought i'd start one.
NATO - North Atlantic Treaty Organisation signed and created in 1949 with America, Britain and France being the big signatories, along with other nations such as poland. This treaty was to provide a 20 year defensive military alliance to prevent another world war.

Today NATO has over 26 members and more are on the table to join.
The main aspect of NATO is that if a fellow member is attacked, other member states must help but can choose to help militrarily or diplomatically, i.e send troops or money.

At the end of the day i like NATO, its a strong organisation that i believe should have more emphasis on the world.
