Dear Labour Party,
HQ London
New Home Secretary make statement about 'Being Tough on Crime!' Telegraph dated 7 January 2008.
This is the kind of response we have had to put up with since Blair was first elected.
Ministers in jobs for which they have no knowledge or understanding, failure to use existing legislation.
From day one NU Labour Ministers have not had the slightest interest in reducing crime or helping the vicitms, they are solely interested in bureucracy [Targets and Performance Inidcators]. How many times have we seen 'New' ideas where offenders are to be fined for their offences, remember 'Offenders will be Frogmarched to the ATM to pay fines??]
The possesion of weapons of any kind has increased as already stated the only people targeted are those who hold certain items legally a classic exmaple is how legislation had been introduced so that pistol shooting can take place in 2012 olympics otherwise those competing souls be in possesion of illegal firearms.
There has been a increase in knife possesion and use in crime for several years along with gun-crime. The only answer up to now is a amnesty where such weapons that may be linked to crime are conveniently disposed of through a government backed initiative.
We now have another Party 'apparatchik' in charge of Home Office, what experience as has she got in dealing with such issues of knife crime?
The same civil servants will offer her the same crackpot ideas as they have to the previous Home Secretarys. It will get tarted up as a great new idea and given to the tabloids to make 'Headline Grabbing' statements.
Police Officers & CPSOs will have cancelled rest days to target certain groups offenders to be arrested. These will be released by a spineless CPS on the grounds of "Not Being in the Public Interests!"
If the CPS does decide to prosecute someone, the courts will find an excuse for the offenders behaviour. Said offenders come back on the streets full of it because they 'got away with it' becasue their briefs will ahve invoked the Human Rights legislation. Violent crime increases there is another outcry in the press the Home Secretary, Miss Smith, will make further knee-jerk announcements! Then it will be 'Tough on the Crime Fighters' - the Police will be vilified by the usual collection of Marxist toss-pots and no-hopers!
Something starting to look familiar here...., then the blame culture will kick in as to whose fault it all is. Have we all missed the point here? The mission statement is NOT about reducing crime, but collecting statistics so the PM as PMQ can waffle his way round the usual tripe to be hidden away in the usual blatter of New Labour incompetence.
A very angry and disgusted member of the Public
