Fat linked cases fill hospitals

Daily Mirror Quote: "More than 230 people are now treated in hospital for obesity-linked linked health problems every day. The Dept of Health revealed cases have risen almost 30 per cent in the past year and numbers are up from 23,961 a decade ago to 85,302" This is part of an article printed on 11.1.08. ...............The NHS was originally formed to treat patients had the misfortune to become ill or injured through no fault of their own it now seems it is being swampt by people suffering from self inflicted obesity along with chain smokers who have had warnings over the years an have ignored them along with an assortment of cosmetic sex change cases all taking up precious NHS time and recources. The obesity cases many in their twenties and thirties are not only a drain on hospitals but eat them selves into a state of such unfitness they can no longer work and become dependant financial state support and even mobility vehicles. Is it any wonder that all of the money being invested in the NHS is not making a great deal of difference? ..................No nonsense urgent priority must be given to stemming the numbers of self inflicted obesity cases or the country will collapse under the weight, forgive the pun.
