Arrow Red Ken - the UAF - and Islamic Extremism

Having taken a look at what scurries beneath the ‘Searchlight’ stone, our researchers have now turned their attention onto the UAF, and its links with both Ken Livingstone and Islamic fundamentalism. Oh, boy, and what a spiders web of deceit and intrigue have they uncovered.

To begin, let us draw your attention to a press release from the ‘Muslim Council of Britain’, issued onon the 6th of February.

In this ‘release’ the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) expressed its outrage that Dr Yusuf al-Qaradawi – the “renowned Islamic scholar” – had been told he’s not welcome in the UK.

The press release continued:

“Yusuf Al Qaradawi enjoys unparalleled respect and influence throughout the Muslim world. I am afraid this decision will send the wrong message to Muslims everywhere about the state of British society and culture. Britain has had a long and established tradition of free speech, debate and intellectual pursuit. These principles are worth defending, especially if we would like to see them spread throughout the world.”

The hypocrisy of the MCB in this press release is breathtaking. How dare they lecture us about the values of free speech, when it is they, along with many other self appointed Islamic bodies that constantly seek to undermine that concept. A concept which is not even recognised by them when it comes to debate about Islam!

But the person most upset with the Government’s decision to refuse a visa to Dr Yusuf al-Qaradawi will not be a Muslim.

For the person most likely to be amongst those most upset at this decision is the present Mayor of London, and Chairman of the (so called) Unite Against Fascism (UAF)-

Mr. Ken Livingstone.

Indeed, ‘Red Ken’ has to have a special interest in this matter, given that the MCB is affiliated to Livingstone’s UAF, and last year they jointly produced local election campaign material.

Let’s take a close look at the sort of bed fellows Ken Livingstone is in league with:

Muhammad Abdul Bari, Secretary-General of the MCB: has also shown his special affinity for London. Just last year, in response to perceived ‘negative’ attitudes towards Islam, Dr Bari is reported to have threatened: “If that demonisation continues, then Britain will have to deal with two million Muslim terrorists – 700,000 in London”[i].

Maybe, Livingstone, and his buddies in the UAF need to consider the following quotes:

Maybe, Livingstone, and his buddies in the UAF need to consider the following quotes:
“Chief among these is the Muslim Council of Britain, whose leadership has established sympathies for the Jamaat-i-Islami in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Both the Brotherhood and the Jamaat believe in the creation of an Islamic state and the establishment of Sharia law.” [Martin Bright, The Observer, Sunday 30th July, 2006].

It should also be noted that the rise of the MCB (under Iqbal Sacranie) can be traced to the ‘Satanic Verses’ affair, and the support given to the book-burning and the raising of a fatwah for the murder of the book’s author Salman Rushdie. In 1989 Sacranie said of the novelist “death was perhaps too easy” [iii].

From the 7th to 11th July 2004 the Greater London Authority (City Hall) with the blessing of Livingstone, naturally, was the venue for the annual session of the ‘European Council for Fatwa and Research’, which was headed by Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi. In response to bitter criticisms of his visit, the GLA subsequently issued a lengthy justification in which Ken Livingstone (Chair of the UAF) proclaimed:

“As Mayor of London, I regard it as my responsibility to welcome a leader of any great religion, such as Dr. al-Qaradawi. I would welcome any leader of any other great world religion of similar standing, notwithstanding the obvious fact that we disagree on particular issues.”

On the 12th July 2004 Dr Yusuf al-Qaradawi also spoke at the ‘Assembly for the Protection of the Hijab’ conference, during which Mr. Livingstone also issued a personal invitation to Mr Qaradawi to attend the European Social Forum (ESF) event planned for October. It is interesting that Sheikh Qaradawi’s visit should have been so robustly defended by London Mayor Ken Livingstone, given comments credited to Sheikh Qaradawi such as:

“O God, protect them and show them the right path. O, God, destroy the usurper Jews, the vile Crusaders, and infidels.” [iv]

The GLA subsequently dismissed all the criticisms and allegations laid against Dr. al-Qaradawi. [v]

However, and unfortunately for Mr. Livingstone, a robust rebuttal of the GLA position was soon to appear in the public domain (in February 2005). This provided evidence that Dr. Yusuf al-Qaradawi, widely regarded as the Muslim Brotherhood’s spiritual head, supports: the murder of people who have turned away from Islam (apostates); female genital mutilation (FGM); that a husband must compel his wife to wear the hijab; domestic violence in certain circumstances; targeting Israeli civilians; and suicide bombing (including by women). [vi]

Now here is the strange thing. We have previously commented on Mr. Livingstone’s sympathies to extremist Irish Republican groups – groups with a history of close collaboration with the Nazis during World War 2.

We have also commented on the Muslim Brotherhood’s history of enthusiastic collaboration with the Nazis - including significant participation in the genocide of both Christians and Jews in Europe, during the war.

And what do we find when we shine a torch under the detritus of the Livingstone/UAF hate factory? Well we found a lot more than a few Newts! For what we’ve discovered is that the, Mayor of London, and chairman of the UAF, Ken Livingstone, are all fellow travellers with one of the most vile of Islamic terrorist groups!

Isn’t it interesting, that behind the very public posturing of those organisations that shout most loudly about intolerance and hatred – there so often lurks the most intolerant and hate filled bodies imaginable.

It takes just one word to sum up just what is the common thread that links Livingstone to fascism, the far left and Islam?

CONTROL

For whether the fascism is of the left or the right, or whether it masquerades under the guise of a religion it always seeks the same thing. complete and utter control of the individual, their thoughts and their actions!

This is why Livingstone feels comfortable with both the IRA, UAF, and Islam. The man is a self centred control freak!

[As a footnote, it is also interesting to note that, in a leaked ‘Restricted’ document, the Home Office and the Foreign Office were, in 2004, briefing their staff to view the Muslim Brotherhood as “a progressive and liberal movement, adapting to their own socio-political context, especially those in Britain.” [vii]]
