Is Labour losing the unions?

looking at the proposed school closures in England over pay, one has to ask themselves, has labour cut it's own throat with the unions?

with union leaders queueing up to shoot down darling about the abolition of the 10p tax rate, teachers threatening strike action and growing unrest within the rank and file of the unions, is "New Labour" really going to stand back and cast the unions adrift.

Labour it seems have lost it's roots, they used to be the working man's party, now they are just a diluted excuse for "tories". while labour used to look after the common man, now they seem hell bent on looking after the rich....

Maybe it is time that the unions cut the labour party loose and watch them sink into oblivion.
