Lies lies lies. Fuel prices and more.

The UK has the 4th highest fuel prices in the WORLD.

There is no need for this and the Government line that it is a "green" tax is just another lie, and I am sick of being lied to by Gordon Brown and his cronies. It is just about tax, and nothing but tax.

In the UK, if we all stopped driving our cars tomorrow, the effect on global warming or human induced climate change would be absolutely negligible. Without China and other "developing" nations taking radical action of their own, anything we do here is meaningless. That's not to say we should do nothing, but the first thing that needs to happen is that our leaders stop the lies.

Labour took a bit of a drubbing the other day, and the following morning it's the same story...."we are going to start listening". This statement defies credulity. Labour took a drubbing, but only about 30% of the people chose to vote. Why? Because whether it's Tory, Labour, or Liberal, it's the same story - lies. Labour has misused its majority and will lose power at the next election. Will the Tories be any differenct? No. David Cameron - politician without a policy.

The easiest way to engage people in politics it to start telling the truth. It's fundamental. The second thing, is to put Britain first. We have enough wealth with the country to have everything we need. Good education, good health service and good policing. But we need to stop behaving like we are sill an Empire. We don't need to lead the world with meaningless policies. If we get it right at home, others will follow - simple as that.

So let's start with fuel. This moronic policy affects everyone. So reduce the tax for a start, but add tolls on motorways. Every lorry entering the country should pay a road tax fee. That way, the local drivers, my Mum and Dad, Pensioners, are not penalised. High milers like me - we pay the tax. Reduce tolls for those travelling outside of rush hour.

There was a song in the 70s or 80s - "Jilted John" - "Gordon is a Moron". Sadly, there is nothing more apt for our Prime Minister. Instead of "Jilted John" we have "Excluded Electorate" as the singers. Equally though, until we get some truth, we won't get people engaging with politics, and nothing will change.

Truth is the key.
