I cannot rule out tax rises, says Cameron

David Cameron, the Conservative leader, said today that he could not rule out tax rises in the future, as he unveiled what he described as a full-blown plan for economic recovery...

What are David Cameron motives behind this announcement.. Is he pushing Brown into a corner?

Knowing Brown will jump on him for making this statement is he hoping for a pledge from the NuLab party to reduce taxes knowing with the unstable economic climate this could have disastrous effects?

I have to say I agree wholesomely with George Osbourne's comments regarding mending the broken society, it seems once again the Conservatives are making louder noises when stating their plans to lead the country.
Can NuLab turn the tides of fortune back in their favour?
