| *Insert informal greeting* Hi everyone, I'm Doug, an 18 year old student living west of London. I've been interested in politics for years, especially more extreme philosophies such as Communism, Fascism and Anarchism, and why people resort to them. My likes are Barack Obama, equality of oppurtunity, and meritocracies, while my dislikes are right-wing numbskulls (and their king, George Bush), apathy, and condescending politicians.
That probably sums me up. I'm also an advocator of environmentalism, and understand the pressing need to find new ways of producing electricity, as my father is a meteorologist with a deep interest in Global Warming. I'm also feeling slightly frustrated at America's overall inability to realise that this is currently a turning point in their history, which will decided whether American becomes a replica of certain African states, with rich corrupt Government and horrific poverty among its people, or whether it will return to being a pillar of justice and liberty.
ANYWAY! Hi everyone. I'm looking forward to contribute to the forum and hopefully deepen my understanding of the Presidential elections, as I'm doing an A-Level coursework on Barack Obama in the near future...
