That's the least they could do if they were on performance related pay they could expect a 50% wage cut !

Good that they are giving up a pay rise, but they should get pay cuts, and have this cash given to nurses, ect.

Didn't Peter Lilley make the point recently that MPs should have their pay cut in accordance with the fact that by handing powers over to Brussles they have less and less responsibility and influence.

Not sure but it sounds reasonable enough , if MP's are so dishonourable that they have no problem signing away powers and sovereignty to other institutions then hitting them in the pocket may be the only option !

I couldn't find the actual article but below is a link to the Peter Hitchens blog where the quote is discussed:-

Will not matter because they will not lose out. No doubt they will be submitting larger expense claims to cover any pay losses.:D

but i hope you know IF they really do give this money up this will mean they are allready getting it from somewhere else or at least looking for other ways to get that money "and more",
just like they are allready anyway and have allways been doing,
Do not be led to think that this is a kind gesture in any sense, they just take whatever money they want anyway and there is NOTHING you or anyone else can do about this,
you can say what you want on forums and amougnst freinds,
but if anyone makes an scene in public about subjects like that then they will be bang in trouble
don't forget they know your face and therefore know where you live and everything else there is to know about you, and even if they don't it's very easy for them to find you out.
me personally i think they really mean to say = Downing Street has announced that all Cabinet ministers will not give up their pay rise for this financial year and have decided to take yet more money.
