Thanks guys for the warm welcome. I don't like politics but I'm only trying to keep informed and having a say when it matters if I can.

I thought I had better introduce myself, after making a number of posts and discovering the thread I was on is only part of the site!

I'm Dave, photographer by trade, white, lived in this country 99% of my life, aged 54 and have no real political preferences either way.

I guess you could say I just want a decent government that can take care of the people and affairs of this country in a considered, ethical, moral and fair manner. A government that does not abuse its position of temporary custodian of the country and treats the population with some degree of respect.

Maybe I am asking for far too much but one has to live in hope. Failing any of the above, we will probably up sticks and leave at some point in the future.

Being honest I don't think I can cope with too much more of this government or it's catalogue of deceit and lies.

Hi CS, thanks and yes I agree. The BNP, Labour and Tories all tell lots and lots of lies. The Lib Dem's would tell lies but they never quite get round to it;)

Iv'e just read a comment you slidded into this discussion, the one where you introduced yourself including your name which is Dave. I would just like to say that I agree on with you and your opinion on the goverment and how much they lie in addition acting so irresponsible for thier actions. For example the way the lose important reports and information on the UK' civilians personal details. :) Bye Dave.
