On 18 March 2005, Frank Murkowski, the Governor of Alaska, said this on The Bill Meyer Show:
THERE IS POTENTIALLY ENOUGH CRUDE OIL ON THE NORTH SLOPE OF ALASKA TO SUPPLY ON THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR 200 YEARS!

If every other natural gas well in America were cut off tomorrow morning, at the projected rate of increased consumption, every 24 hours at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, on the north slope where the large oilfield is, THEY PUMP BACK INTO THE GROUND 1 BILLION CUBIC FEET OF NATURAL GAS THAT COMES UP WITH THE OIL!
During the course of his talk, Lindsey Williams also says, somewhat forlornly:
If only our president and Vice President and our administration in Washington would be honest.
Ah Lindsey, in his 1990 exposé, By Way of Deception, Victor Ostrovsky informs us that, when he was being inducted into the Mossad, the Israeli Security Service, the head of the organisation said this to the new recruits:
