Lightbulb Youth clubs for all

Every time there is a problem with youngsters fighting or drinking or something on the news the kids always say, " Well there nothing to do...".
and suggestions start floating around about 'More youthclubs and things to do'.

I remember when I was a teenager dossing around on street corners, listening to loud music and being rude. Thinking back the youthclubs where great, you could: meet up with your mates, meet loads of girls, play ping-pong, swap things, play consoles, meet up with everyone in the local area, hear all the gossip, etc, etc, etc..with only the occaisional scrap in the carpark. Sometimes we even had special guests who would come and do presentations like once when a bloke brought in his sampling synthesizer in the 80s and showed us all the tricks you could do with it.

But now I am in my thirties and what is there to do.... I ponder whether to watch the TV or go to the pub, the only two things there are to do.

Go to a pub playing shit commercial music, get drunk in a place full of strangers, buy rounds of drinks and talk drunken shit, pull some *drunk slappers, possibly eat a kebab or get face filled in. Not really a great night out. I mean, millions of years of evolution and mankind has developed some nasty simbiotic relationship with these buildings used to sell beer. The only reasonably interesting thing you can do on a in these 'pubs' and maybe play a fruit machine which is just crap.

*(I Personally would rather shag sober girls)

Or, sit at home with no social life apart from the pub, or talking to strangers on the internet.

And thinking about it, this is the 'wonderful utopia' the aforementioned youngsters have got to look forward to as they older. No wonder they turn to crime and drugs.

Wouldn't it be nice to go out say on a Saturday night and think, Ill go and have a cup of tea or coffee, a joint even at a place with lots of people, with lots of girls, consoles, videos, table football, ping pong, internet etc. I could have a chat with and maybe, play some different games. A kind of youthclub for all ages without the black eye and chunks spewed up kebabs, and possible illegitamte children.

Im sure a clubs of this type all over the country would make for a better society on the whole. A kind of local neighbourhood club where people can go and be themselves and socialise without being lured into binge drinking alchohol or standing around following clicky fads and listening to crappy corporate pop music. (and being intimidated by lary bouncers)

Not really a World peace idea, I know; more a UK idea. Might work in other countries. Actually.. I might have been to one in Spain before.
Please feel free to critisize or improve this idea as much as you want!
