| Achtung Cohesion Camps ! Young people from different backgrounds are to be encouraged to develop an appreciation for each other as part of a programme to be announced later. Children's Minister Beverley Hughes is set to announce £4.5m to enable positive activity programmes. The camps are due start in the autumn, and mainstream summer camps will also be held. The initiatives will encourage young people to develop their social and emotional skills and build understanding and appreciation of others The government said the aim is to unite youngsters from different backgrounds based on gender, race, class and religion.
