Hydrogen Cells & Cold Fusion

WHat about cold fusion or hydrogen cells? Are they really as impossible as people think?

Also what about governments offering subsidies or grants for families/individuals that wish to purchase solar panels, solar water panels, heat soak pipes, mini wind turbines and/or fuel/carbon efficient cars?

The various types of solar panels cost nearly £4,000 each, the turbines nearly £5,000. I haven't a clue about the heat soak pipes and most cars are upwards of £8-9,000. Im sorry most average families can't afford those generally.
