George "Gordon Gekko" w. Bush has declared that the "Un-Regulated"
Capitalism of Asset Strippers like Gekko in Hollywood Tribute to Greed
Gone Mad like the Voodoo Economics of Reagan are official United States
Government Policy????.There are those amongst us of course will stand up
straight away and say "I told you so",and indeed are fairly large number
of them "did try and warn, however their voices were drowned in the Hue
and Cry of Wall Street and it's friends in high places who assured us
this would go on and on and on.The position of my own Country the United
Kingdom is in fact far "worse" than yours. This is because seen as
Thatcher saw fit to close and demolish "all" our Manufacturing Base we
were solely reliant on Invisibles.Things have changed there as
well.Thatcher was a very very lucky Prime Minister as She had a OIL
bonanza right on our Doorstep (The North Sea),this was how She and her
rotten Government could afford to pay the Giro Payments for the over 4
Million Unemployed which she spitefully and bitterly rang up.These days
we are a net Importer of Oil (Thatcher saw fit to (BURN) Millions upon
Millions of Cubic Meters of the stuff instead of having a proper
Energy Policy,)instead of her Sack the Miners "at all costs" which she
ruthlessly put into operation during the very bitter Miners Strike of
1984/85.Also our Economy at present is very dependent of "Financial
Services" which as we all know is just about to shut up Shop for the
duration. Also Blair allowed Millions of Immigrants to flood over here
and these People will all drain our Welfare State.

America though is vastly different and Bush
has just given the green light to the C.E.O.s of all those failing
greedy Merchant Bankers to say that,it matters not whether we show a
profit or a loss the Government will "ALWAYS" Bail us out!!!.The
current cost of this Government Avarice will cost ever single American
Citizen $ 5,600 Dollars each!!!.That is what I call a figure.The
Public are being told the pay the tab for these people who were
getting salaries the rest of us can only Dream about, and it's "us" the
little Guy who pays for their greed and mistakes.I am assured that one
of them was promised a $ 11,000,000 Bonus before his Bank went Belly
up and he was saying on the Radio last night that he has "just" been
told his Bonus is safe through the Bush/Cheney Intervention!?!?!?.I
ask you all in all Honesty "IS THIS RIGHT??" How and why??? should
these Greedy Pigs get rewarded from the Public Purse???.Remember now
the Occupation of Iraq is costing $ 5000 Dollars per Second!!.Surely
it's "TIME" to shout and think "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH".How can this Old
Fool Mc Shitstain even dream he has a chance with the failed policies
of this Disgusting Bush Mk 2 Government??.These Rethugs really make me
laugh,Surely Folks you aren't going to fall for it "AGAIN" are you??.
For Gods sake think of your Children and your Grand-children,how much
DEBT are they going to be saddled with???.China and Japan and Saudi
will "OWN" America at this rate not just the 46% it's currently
running at.

There is something that I have always kept close to my heart all myself and it's never been wrong yet:

The Golden Rule

"He who has the gold makes the rules"

Whether it be Thatcher, or Bush, or Joe Blow down the street...the results are always the same. And the other thing is...it's never their fault...always the people they followed. In Bush's case, Clinton. Bush talk's about the "new jobs", that they have brought in, he DOESN'T talk about the tech jobs (mine was one of them) that was outsourced overseas. He talks about trying to keep the U.S. safe, but over 20+ millions have come into this country since 9/11, of course the Bush Administration can't find them. BUT wants to give them LEGAL status in this country. And...like in your country...the average American gets to pick up the bill.

IMO, of course these CEO's are going to continue to get rewarded for running their companies into the ground...why not? Look at how much they put into the coffers of the politictions. Paulson didn't want anything in the agreement that would mess with this, but I believe he lost on that one(but rest assured that there will be a loop hole). As far as Iraq, remember that Haliburton has been awarded numerous "no bid" contracts, and to date has yet to fulfill their contracts on the schools and hospitals. But it doesn't matter that before Cheney became, they had never received one(to my knowledge).

The GOP is trying very hard to convenice the American Public that MC Cain is the next best thing to sliced bread and Peanut Butter. But he, and the GOP, cannot get away from the point that he has voted 90% of the time, the way Bush has wanted him. Even in the meeting about this bailout, he never opened his mouth until the meeting was almost over. So, no, I don't see why we need a Bush Clone in office.

But all this is going to come down to whether or not the American Public is tired and ready to turn this around.

Hi There Snake, Well I must say you certainly have my sympathy there with the losing your
Job business, and the greed driven outsourcing. The Jobs which like you said Bush trumpets
so loudly are "Dead End" and "Dog Shit Money".These short sighted morons who are doing
this are selling your Country down the River (not that it will bother them of course,as it's
what they have been doing since the Raygoon Administration) (if you could call it that). In
order even for Kids to do well at School there has to be a motivating factor.IE A good and steady well paid Job for their efforts. How the hell can you get a 14/15 year old to
do their very best when they think they are going to end up in a Mc Donalds,or stitching
Jeans together for minimum wage??.Also what happened to you was in my Eyes a real
tragedy, you clearly did well at what you no doubt trained at for a very long time.I can
really sympathise with this as I am in the process of gaining my higher I.T. Qualifacations
so as I no longer have to clump through Mud and Shit for at least nine months of the
year.Like I have done for years on the various Building Sites I have worked my Back into
damaged Vertibre on.Right now I exist (not live) on a pittance but I consider it well worth
it,as soon I will have my finals.I would go Nuclear if after all of that effort and sacrifice
some cheap little jobs-worth came up to me and told me my services were "no longer"
needed or required, because the Firm was shifting to India or some other pathetic low
wage paying Country. This is so wrong man so wrong, and what is really gained from it??.
Surely the more Technical aware people you have resident in your Country the better off
the Country will be!!.
I see you mentioned "the" most Odious Man in politics anywhere in the World the
one the only Dick defered the draft five times Cheney.what a useless useless *******
this creep really is,mind you his name just seems to slip of the Tounge when mentioned
alongside John Mc Shit Stain. These two shit-heads are that crazy they could be twins.
I must admit my biggest fear now is a Mc Shit Stain Government, because frankly it would
be a utter disaster, but added to the mix is the fact that the old Communist sympathiser
is on anti Cancer medication so he would be very unlikely to live through his full term. This
of course would let the ****ing nutter from Alaska into the White-house.Imagine if this
Red-Neck were to be left holding the keys to the levers of power?!?!.Unthinkable surely
I only hope Obama wins (mind you given the mess Bush and Co have left behind you
"must" be crazy to want the job in the first place. The level of national Debt this Fiscal
Conservative is leaving behind him is Catastrophic, whether this can ever be paid off I
frankly doubt. What with $5000 Dollars per second being sent to Iraq, this new bailing
out of these C.E.O.s will cost every American $6700 Dollars on top!!!!!.
I happened to hear Pelosi giving her pathetic lecture to the greedy
pricks of Wall Street last night, the stupid cow said "no more Government bailouts" then
she promptly went and bailed the greedy *******s out, what a carry on.
See Ya Snake Be Cool Man.

Sup Ranger, things are going nuts over here, LOL. After all his talk, MC Cain couldn't deliever a thing. For all their talking and how HE brought everything together...the bill was voted down. 133 Republicans voted against it:

House rejects $700B bailout in stunning defeat - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/financial_meltdown)

Democratic and Republican leaders alike pledged to try again, though the Democrats said GOP lawmakers needed to provide more votes.

More than two-thirds of Republicans and 40 percent of Democrats opposed the bill. In all, 95 Republicans joined 140 Democrats in voting "yes," while 133 Republicans and 65 Democrats voted "no."

I guess right now poor Bush is pulling his hair out. There's even talk, after her comment about Pakistan that maybe Sarah should be going home. Of course it's kinda late in the game for that. I have a feeling it's all about to hit the fan for the GOP...real soon.

I was lucky, as far as my job went, Bush didn't take it from me, 2 major heart attacks in three years did me in. But the guys I worked with, there is only about a half dozen left out of a 25 man team. Most of the ones in my old shop are temps. But the end product is still the same...we built power trains for 4x4's, cars, motorcylces, Semi's and so on. The casting that was done here in the States, and some of the machining, has really caused them a headache. Where we had a 1-2% scrape rate on our castings, my guys say it's up to 25+% now. So the added cost goes to the consumer. So much for being competitive with overseas markets.

First good luck on your I.T. Quailifacations. I've done my time in the mud, snow, and rain.LOL My oldest son does it now. He's in the Oil Field here in Texas. And like you, he's working to get back out on the rigs. But he's worrying more about the money he's invested for his retirement, 401K things like this. If any good has come out of this...it's finally opened his eyes to the GOP.

But I don't ANY way MC Cain is going to make it. Not with this mess, and him crowing about "what he's doing to bring it about". The ticket the GOP has put together has turned into a national joke. But it is a scrary thought to think this country could go from Bush to MC Cain. If they held the election today, though, I'd make book and give long odds on Obama. Don't get me wrong, I don't know if he'd be any better. I just know he couldn't screw up any worse.

I agree, I can't think of ANY reason to take this job right now. First, there is NO WAY it will be turned around in four years by one man. It's going to take another Democrat another four years...and MAYBE we'll be able to see light at the end of the tunnel. But watch, and see how far off I am, Obama win's and if he doesn't have a Democratic control House and Senate, the GOP will fight him tooth and nail...then talk about what he DIDN'T get done. It's all in the hands of the voters now...now it's time to put up or shut up. They are going to have to understand that we are going to have to go through tough times to get out of this mess.

Be good

Hi there Snake. I have been watching a lot on the Tube lately all of it about
the House of Rep's voting down Bush's and Paulson's rescue plan for the high
flyers of Wall Street.I can tell you this it really makes things far more interes-
ting, our usual diet is of Bush coming out with his well trodden crap like (Fellow
Citizens) or (this great nation) or (one of his "many" verbal gaffes).Seeing the
House of representatives up in arms like that really (for a while) gave me hope
that something was about to change for the better.I see the slippery pricks
have taken it to Congress now as non of their seats are up for re-election
unlike the lower House where all of them are.I must say I am proud of the real
American people since all this happened (just how much crap did these idiots
think they could rub into the Faces of the average wage earners??).Could it
be possible that they thought that this was just going to be accepted with a
shrug of the Shoulders and a resigned frown?.Good for all those who sent a
message to these robber barons enough is enough is enough period.Although
like you went on to say a "loophole" or twenty will be created to allow most
of these slugs to escape with their own wealth and liberty in tact.
Like you said this must have had Bush tearing out his hair, for the
first time since he has been born the filthy rich were going to take the beat
-ing.I bet his phones in the White House were going crazy all incoming calls
from (his base) the stinking rich. These people must be shitting themselves
in case nightmare of nightmares they end up broke (God forbid),isn't life a
real bitch sometimes.I can't say I thought much of the Obama vs Mc Cain
confrontation, the Democrat seemed happpy to keep trying to fend of the
lies and miss-information the likes of Fox has put around about him.I caught
Rush Limbaugh putting his big fat foot into his mouth "again" (groan). This time
he was trying to say that Obama is not an African American, foolish moron
Rush claims he is a Arab American,I watched his face while he was attempting
to explain the stupidness of his arguement, then it dawned on him that he was
talking utter utter Bull-shit and he just went quiet. Then again there is no real
arguement against pure hatred and blind prejudice is there?.

Talk again soon Snake take care.

Analysis: A vote with unforeseen consequences? - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/meltdown_stakes_analysis)

How's it going, Ranger? The link is talking about the vote in the Senate and how they are going to go about getting the votes to pass it.

I get a kick out of the fact that this is a Republican deal. Bush and Paulson are the ones screaming doomsday if this bill isn't passed. So why did 133 Republicans jump ship? There's been a lot of finger pointing and everything, one side blames the other for the mess...nobody wants to own up to nothing. Typical politics. But I have found out the repercussions of this mess they put us in.

Some friends and I get together once week, and before our discussion, they were talking about this mess. The credit crunch has already hit them. Fertilizer that they would buy on credit, now they have to go cash. Same with feed for their cattle. These are people who's ancestors helped build this town, been here for generations. You see this is how I tell how bad the economy is. Go grassroots and talk to the people.

On other boards people are talking about with the credit cards. I wondered how long it would take people to realize how bad those cards are. Bush, a few years back, signed into law legislation that made it tougher for people to get out from under the debts. I figure people who are foolish enough to get themselves in debt because of it, deserve what they get. But on the other hand, look at the % rate these company's charge. The only I have is a debit card, no money in the bank, I don't get it. On the other hand, between my two brothers they have around 12. Of course they have the money to back them, and normally pay them at the end of the month. But a lot of people can't, or only make the minimum payment.

Whether Obama has the answers, we'll only know if he's elected. MC Cain hasn't got a clue. The poor guy has shot himself in his feet so many times, he's got a permenent limp. About Obama first made the seen, someone else had the statement that he wasn't African American...Muslim maybe. But the gest of it is, the Republican's have had him in the cross hairs from day one. That tells me he scares them. They have a record of smearing those that they feel will cause them trouble. Also, as long as they're smearing the other guy, nobody looks close at their man.

But for right now, things are going to get REAL interesting REAL quick here. Now we see what the House is going to do.

Take Care and Talk Later

Watched part of the debate tonight and I have to say...and I'm dying here...the lady did sound a whole lot better than she did before. Now did she win the debate? IMO, debates are for school, as far as winning or losing, this is real life and I'm sorry, she still doesn't show me a whole lot. At least she made more sense this time, then she has in the past.
