Is it the end to the sub master post offices?

In the eighties the parts of the post office services was privaties by the conservatives. The old poster master wishes to retire and find replacements not many people wish to take on the franchises to run them with the increase cost of uniform bussiness rate, council charge and overhead tariffs plus staff running cost.
Will all sub post offices face closure and well we be force to go to the main town centre to accomplish our commerial enterprise?
