The Catholic Church has condemned the cautioning of a Polish footballer for gestures which allegedly included blessing himself at an Old Firm match.
Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc was cautioned after complaints were made about his behaviour at Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow in front of Ranger's fans.
Strathclyde Police investigated claims that Boruc, 26, angered a section of the home support after allegedly making the religious gesture at the start of the second half of the game on February 12........

He hasn't been cautioned at all they have let it go.
However what your post shows is an incredible naivety about the old firm derby. Coming from Liverpool a city remarkably like Glasgow these Derby events are already very tense but purposively inflaming the crowd could cause bloody murder.
It was not the sign of the cross in itself which is offensive it is the deliberate attempt to wind up the rangers fans.
Religion is a personal matter, if a player has a strong faith that is entirely up to him, but sectarianism has no place in sport. I wonder if the player is a practising Catholic?
By the way the RC Church has not condemned this at all.

He was cautioned but not prosecuted. The police took 6 months to get to this decision - thats the alarming part.

Well it's good to see you are now a fully fledged critic of Unionism and the Orange Order (Another of your NEW BNP principles I assume?)
By the way why would someone who futilely spends much of his time criticising Muslims on this site for showing outward displays of religiosity, defend someone who has done the same?

It is a BNP aim to return these Isles to being a christendom. I am not hyper critical of either unionism or the catholic church. But reserve the right to critisise any religion when it goes against the partys principles. Just think the above incident and the consequent police/prosecution service investigation is a complete waste of taxpayers money. Its another sign of political correctness gone mad.

Fair enough this is a Christian country but far from a Catholic one since 1688.
The police investigation is a complete waste of money and time, and that proves what this country needs is a Libertarian agenda to get rid of the state in peoples lives, however your tragic belief that the BNP will do this is deluded because Fascism does and always has believed in a strong state, an authoritarian government.
You blame political correctness for everything, but as no one has ever defined what that is that is a waste of time. PC is usually used to slur the Left but you can have PC on the Right too, the intefering nannying obsessive statism in Britain today is PC but thats far from being Socialism its not even Liberalism, it is a form of NEOconservatism.
You will be blaming Muslims next.

You're wrong - the current trend is towards cultural marxism. Whereby one agenda is set by the ruling class and all other opinions are either dismissed outright or crushed.

Just as in Marxism certain groups, i.e. workers and peasants, are considered good and other groups like the the bourgeoisie and the capital owners are evil. In the cultural Marxism of Political Correctness certain groups are good – feminist women, (only feminist women, non-feminist women are deemed not to exist) blacks, Asians, homosexuals. These groups are determined to be "victims," and therefore automatically good regardless of what any of them do and white males are determined automatically to be evil, thereby becoming the equivalent of the bourgeoisie in economic Marxism. Starting to see the picture?

Well that's not Marxism thats something you have just made up.
If you read Marx no mention whatsoever of your theory is mentioned?
As for Feminists Blacks Asians and Homosexuals I don't particularly view them as victims but you do?
I consider people from these backgrounds on their own particular character. As for White males I don't consider them as evil but I do consider nasty little fascist creeps to be evil.
Anyway you can have the last say because it is so important to you I have better things to do than talk to you.
