Lib dem councillors on trial for rigging local election

Two Liberal Democrat councillors took part in a "criminal agreement" to rig a local election in Lancashire using proxy votes, a court has heard.

Burnley councillors Manzur Hussain and Mozaquir Ali are accused of defrauding more than 160 voters in June 2004.

What pisses me off about these reports is that will probably be the last we hear. WHY do we never see what they got sentenced to? Are the Government scared that to many let off "in the interests of integration" could upset Johnny public?
