It's Sunday at three o'clock and the local park was half-filled with around forty high school students. They were all supporters of the new student found organization SALLY. (Students Against Lame Lunches Yo. I hate the name, but it is catchy.)
Our school has just changed the lunches due to the wellness act. I was pleasantly surprised how motivated SALLY was in their cause. Even if this is about food I am still impressed that my fellow students are willing to stand up if they think something is being handled wrong. This gives me hope for the future, I know that if there is some kind of injustice there will always be that group of people who will stand up. I am proud to say I am a member of SALLY and will join a School Board meeting addressing the issue.

So, what are the changes?

healthy food... yuck.

When I was in high school, a guy was suspended for wearing a skirt to school. Granted, it was stupid, but it was not against the published dress code at the time, and it certainly was not suspension worthy.

In response, the school organized a day where everyone would cross dress. Guys showed up in skirts and girls in shirts & ties. It was on the news. HAHA.

The point is, that gave me the same kind of sense that you are describing in your story.

EDIT: I found the story! They want me to pay for it, haha, but here is the part they gave me for free:

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS CROSS-DRESS FOR A CAUSE

They wore flowery, flowing skirts. Skirts with moon patterns. Plain ones. Plaids. A handful of Nova High School male students Thursday put on a show of solidarity with one of their buddies who was sent home two days earlier for wearing a skirt. "Girls can wear pants, so why can't guys wear skirts?" asked sophomore Jesse, 16, who strolled to classes in a green skirt with tiny flowers, a green and yellow checkered shirt and gray high-top

Our lunches have to be under so many calories. I forget the number, but instead of providing healthier food they continue to serve french fries and pizza, just in really small portions.

Aha. So, basicly it is a money making scam.

Make the portions smaller, then encourage you to buy TWO.

Double profit.

Guess so, but I think it is mostly just to obey the new act.
