Spies among compatriots

Is that some epidemic of espionage games or simply of human stupidity and covetousness. British representatives participating in some independent foundations in several countries had shown themselves as spies and provokers. Thus Angolan authority arrested Sara Wikes, British activist of Global Witness anticorruption group and submitted espionage accusations against her. And British consul Janette Rogan had been undressed and searched right in office of Israeli Premier. Not mentioning such scandalous incidents in Central Asia and Commonwealth of Independent States.
I’m able to understand those similar stories with Soros’ independent foundations or some American spying ambassadors. But why our British compatriots disgrace themselves and their country?
I work in Russia and have some information that here British independent foundations also make some shady deals with neofascist and Nazi organizations. It became too hard for honest British businessmen to carry on business here because of distrust of police and local authority.
I won’t surprise if soon the same story would come up not only in Russia, but somewhere in Germany or Italy. Great Britain becomes outcast country because of such bribable officials that rub elbows with criminals and terrorists for their own profit and don’t care about their native country’s prestige.
