Angry Teachers Murderer can't be eported because of Human Rights!?

Sky News:

The killer of headmaster Philip Lawrence has won an appeal to stay in Britain on the grounds that deportation would breach his human rights.

Italian-born Learco Chindamo, 26, was jailed for at least 12 years in 1996 for the murder of the 48-year-old teacher outside a west London school.

Mr Lawrence, a father-of-four, was stabbed in the chest as he tried to break up a fight outside St George's Roman Catholic School in Maida Vale.

But now Chindamo's lawyers have won a challenge at the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal against the Government's attempt to deport him to Italy after he finishes his sentence.

The ruling is another blow for ministers after it emerged last year that more than 1,000 foreign prisoners had been freed from jails and allowed to stay in the country when they should have been considered for deportation.

The Home Office said in a statement: "We are disappointed that the courts have not upheld our decision to pursue deportation in this case.

"We believe that foreign prisoners who have committed serious crimes should face automatic deportation from the UK at the end of their sentence."

Conservative Shadow Home Secretary David Davis said the ruling exposed the "clumsy incompetence of the government's human rights legislation".

Lawrence's death shocked people across the country and even the Queen made a rare public donation to a fund set up in his memory.

Chindamo, who was 15 at the time of the killing, was convicted of murder at the Old Bailey in 1996.

Chindamo's lawyers have not yet commented

The fact is this guy is from Italy not some war-torn country like Somalia. So how does deportation affect his human rights? What about the Human Rights of Philip Lawrence and his family? Surely the Human Rights of the general public is affected by having some crazed murderer back on our streets?

It's sickening enough that he may only serve 12 years for the murder.
