RIP Ian Smith

Ian Smith, Rhodesia's last white prime minister whose attempts to resist black rule dragged the country now known as Zimbabwe into isolation and civil war, died Tuesday at age 88........

The Associated Press: Ian Smith, Ex-PM of Rhodesia, Dies

With the country in a complete state of disrepair under majority black rule, I dont think anyone can argue that Zimbabwe was a far better place for both black and white under Ian Smith . Ian Smith was always slated by our left wing press yet he did have over half a million blacks on the voters roll and fed much of Africa with a vibrant economy based on farming and industry.
