Driver is hurt in road rage attack

Police are hunting three men after a driver was attacked in a road rage incident in Cowling, near Keighley, on Boxing Day.

The victim, a 42-year-old Manchester man, was repeatedly punched in the face after stopping on the A6068. He was treated at Airedale Hospital, Steeton, for swollen eye, cuts and bruises.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred at 2pm.

Officers say the three assailants, believed to be of Asian origin, were in a silver Peugeot car, which had been heading towards Cross Hills.

Descriptions have been released of two of the men - they were both aged about 25, of stocky build and were wearing white traditional clothing.
