A few ideas.

As a fresh new face to the forum, and what now seems like a regular member of this forum, I thought I'd give the Administrator(s) and the Moderators some feed back on their site.

My overall conclusion is highly positive, despite my infraction which I deemed unecessary, but it's forgotten now.

However I would like to propose a few ideas which I feel will improve the forum. Firstly, most sites have a logo on their forums and as this politically themed, it would be nice to see a logo which has the forum name engraved and images of some of the most known Politicians included. How about a few more skins, instead of the usual blue and white skin?

Secondly I feel the forums need a bit of a clear up, there is too many forums displayed on the main page, which lets the forums presentation down. For instance, would it not be better to have one main forum and then a series of sub forums?

Take United Kingdom Politics for example, this could be the main heading, but then Political Parties, UK Political and Union Scandals and Government in general discussion could all we be sub forums under that main heading. This reduces the board size and doesn't split the board up into a lot of what I deem are unnecessary segments. Even the Welsh, Scottish and England forums could be included under the sub forum section, leaving Ireland out because they are not part of the Union. You automatically reduce the segments from eight segments to just two segments. This makes it easier for to keep track of topics and keeps everything neat and presentable.

I'm even in favour of the deletion of the England, Scotland and Wales forums and adding the Nationalist parties into the Political Parties forum, that way you are reducing the scatter of discussion. Sometimes when I post, I find my post in two different forums, is there any need for this?

Also, I feel this resizing and reducing should take place across the board, I mean does George W. Bush deserve his own forum? Why not delete that forum and combine the other remaining three forums into the heading of United States Politics?

Does the forum Planet forum need to exist when there is a Green forum? Why not combine the two or delete the Planet one, it's not like they are remotely different from one another is it? It's the same for the forums War on Terror and Weapons of Mass Destruction, these two forums could be combined together. Why not combine the Arab League forum, the effects of Religion forum and the Hamas and Israel tension forums together? The issues these forums deal with are very much interlinked. Even the forums below this one (Global Politics) could be transfered into this forum and exist as singluar forums and not sub forums. It would keep all the International themed topics in one place.

The Interest forums could be all put into one forum with sub headings, most of them are sport related, so it makes no sense in keeping them all as main heading, though it might be best to keep American sports separate. As for the members longue, couldn't the forums be combined to make one forum with a few subheadings? What's the last two forums that are not even used?

Also, how about making the forum topics and discussions public to guests, so new, potential members can get a feel for the forum before they register? Also perhaps it might be wise if a Feedback and suggestion forum was created, so members could post their feedback on the site. It would create a closer link between Admin/Mods and the member.

These are just my two cents, if a Moderator or the Administrators themselves could reply back to this post, it would be appreciated,

Pique.
