armed forces spending

I am new to this forum, but am on a couple of other forums, related to the armed forces, it is very striking to me that this government is totally un interested in the armed forces, and if it can cut spending in anyway possible then it will do, they do however spend around £192 billion on Social security, yet they are happy to push us down the road of the Lisbon treaty/euro armed forces and some would say even a united states of europe!!!!

How does this forum feel about the armed forces? I personally feel that we could loose at least £3 billion form the social security budget to help pay for the armed forces, yet no labour MP seems to have the interest or guts to stand up for them, the armed forces are not vote winning polices, where income support, etc are??? please comment

Thanks

Duncan
