Support for the Teachers Strike

Today the NUT went on strike. I would like to voice my support for the National Union of Teachers and their cause for higher wages. Educating other people's children is not an easy job, and so I feel the 4.1% pay increase above inflation is worthy.

I also dispair at the BBC's completely mediated and anti-union on BBC News 24 today. They gave all the anti-strikers plenty of airtime, but those on strike were displayed as barbaric communists hellbent on destroying the teaching profession. It is also a real u-turn when you see Ed Balls, a member of the LABOUR Party, you know the guys who support unions, condemning the strike and expressing his "frustration".
