Steven Bigby and the Management of the News

In the article, Butchered for Spilling a Coke, in the 14 May 2008 edition of The Star, journalist Gary Nicks says this:

"TRAGIC Steven Bigby was stabbed to death in London’s Oxford Street for spilling his 99p Coke. The 22-year-old was butchered in a gang brawl moments after buying the drink at McDonald’s."

In response to the above statement, I entered the following into The Star's forum:

"TRAGIC Steven Bigby, eh?

I'll tell you what's tragic. A 16-year-old girl getting gang-raped by 10 men in Tottenham. That's tragic.

Here's something even more tragic. When the 10 gang members had finished with her, they poured acid all over her body to remove DNA evidence! That's tragic.

Here's something else that's tragic. That the powers-that-be should think it perfectly right and proper to BAIL a man who could commit such crimes! THEY bailed a man who hadn't just been charged with the crime cited above, they bailed a man who had been charged with partaking in a gang fight, where someone was knifed, as well!

The tragic Steven Bigby, a member of the north London gang, Tugs From Around, was out on bail, having been charged with taking part in the gang rape and torture of a 16-year-old girl who almost lost her life. He was also there when the rival gang member was knifed.

Steven Bigby is dead because, savage that he most assuredly was, THEY LET HIM OUT! THEY should pay for this. THEY should not pay for it because his death was tragic. It wasn't. His death was much deserved. THEY should pay for it because the decision to set a brute criminal free to continue terrorising the decent, was a malign one.

The fact that Steven Bigby is dead is no tragedy. It is a cause for those, who will never again be subject to his criminality, to celebrate.

I'd like to give you a bit of an insight as to how the media routinely sanitises the news that reflects badly on happy, clappy enrichment-Land.

See how the eyewitness statements at the given link change from:

"I heard the screaming and then saw a couple of BLACK guys run past us."

To:

"I heard the screaming and then saw a couple of guys run past us."

The Times quotes the statement correctly in one place.

However, they, too, omit the word black when the quote is highlighted.

On the morning of 10 May 2008, 16-year-old Jimmy Mizen was killed in South London.

It took more than two days for the media to tell us what must have been known all along. The youth who took Jimmy's life was Turkish.

There were many eye witnesses to this crime and the media will have ascertained almost immediately what the killer looked and sounded like.

But they chose not to tell us. On 13 May, this seriousness of this PC omission was obviated when we were told that Jimmy's killer might now be out of reach in Northern Cyprus. However, this did not prove to be the case and the police arrested a 19-year-old man. A spokesman said:

"Officers arrested a 19 year-old-man. He remains in custody in a London police station."

Nevertheless, the behaviour of the police and the press, in not releasing a description of the suspect immediately, remains worthy of the utmost condemnation. Without the proper information, how on earth are any of us supposed to help apprehend such folk?

Curiously, on 10 May 2008, The Telegraph had said this:

"It is thought that Jimmy, WHO WAS OF TURKISH ORIGIN and who celebrated his sixteenth birthday on Friday, had been at the bakery and confronted a teenage customer who began arguing with staff."

Many of us will have seen and heard Jimmy's parents being interviewed.

Neither of them looked Turkish and they both sounded like regular, middle-class Londoners. And the family is Catholic, not Muslim.

I think The Telegraph got it wrong. Or one or more of the paper's media darlings was outright lying.

Here is another startlingly idiotic practice that some of the media appear to indulge in to try and keep the identity of a non-native suspect hidden.

The police want to question Samuel Osifo and one other, in connection with a rape at a flat in Plumstead, on 3 March 2008.

Now then, given less than two minutes tinkering with Adobe's inexpensive (less than £60) Elements software, The Shopper could have given us this:

As I say, ladies and gentlemen, this happens pretty frequently. So why doesn't the media spend £60 on a programme that could do what I did?

If the bad guys aren't white and British, the media darlings won't always tell us what they should. Some of those who are supposed to be finding out what the politicians want kept hidden, will do whatever they feel they must to assist them in the management of the news.
