On 14 March 2008, The Teesside Gazette reported thus:

On our online forum, some readers raised concerns that Teesside will be bearing an unfair burden.

‘With the current policy of removing people from benefits by hook or by crook as the bill is apparently too high to sustain, we find ourselves about to be in receipt of 66 people in this small area who will get immediate receipt of benefits.’

SgtPepper said: ‘It’s OK saying 66 people, but in a few years that 66 will be 300.’

And another reader said:

‘£400,000 plus - couldn't the money be better spent on things like looking after our old folk? Isn't it time to start looking after our own?’

However, Mr Hudson said supporting the refugees will help them integrate, which will be better all round for Middlesbrough.

‘I understand that lots of authorities have difficulties with housing and meeting demand from our own population... They will come with a status that means they’ll have entitlement to benefits’…

Authorities hope that some of the 66 will speak good enough English to volunteer as translators when they arrive.

This was my response at the aforementioned newspaper's web site:

Why don't you just give the would-be immigrants the £400,000 and tell to live high on the hog in Kenya? They'd live like Kings, the Kenyan economy would benefit and, twenty years down the line, Middlesborough folk wouldn't be getting ethnically cleansed out of their own ancient stamping grounds by the descendants and extended families of those you thought would be such a great asset.

I'll tell you something funny about that law, folks. Frank Soskice, the Labour Home Secretary who oversaw the introduction of that bill was a Russian immigrant.

So, we give him sanctuary from the horrors of the Russian revolution and there he is, 50 years later, criminalising us if we ever dare say boo to his mass immigration goose. There has been lots and lots of similarly ungrateful Frank Soskice-type MPs since then, of course. You know, those with immigrant close up in their pedigree?

The bigger question is this: what on earth was Harold Wilson doing in 1964 when he allowed a Russian to take charge of the welfare of the British people? Well, I can tell you this, there was almost a coup in this country in the late sixties. The powers-that-be were SERIOUSLY thinking of removing Wilson's government. There were some, at the topmost level, thought Wilson was a Russian agent.

Anyway, Chris Hudson, Tony Blair and the PC Crowd are direct spiritual and evangelical descendants of Harold Wilson and Frank Soskice.

The pity-the-poor immigrant lot will always put the working-class Briton last. Which is why we've been drugged-up and dumbed-down so considerably in recent times. If your out of your head on illegal or prescription drugs or a serious study of anything other than Page 3 makes your head hurt, those who would steal your birthright can do the stealing with the minimum of fuss.

Good point, Deckard.

Won't make any difference, though. Between 5 and 9 million British people have been ethnically cleansed out of their own neighbourhoods in recent times to make way for happy-clappy land. And Middlesborough is just way too white for the happy-clappers, I'm afraid.

This lot don't mess about. Tony Blair's spokesman said that no more than 13,000 Eastern European immigrants would come here when they let them into the EU in 2004. He was only about 1.5 million out.

He wasn't mistaken, by the way. He was lying. There's a big difference. Those who would melting-pot our world won't ever tell you the truth. If you got told the truth you'd take steps to protect yourselves. And that's the last thing THEY want.

The British protecting themselves from the fate Big Brother has planned for them? Dear me no. You'll be asking for the postal vote to be scrapped next!

It was time to start looking after our own when Lloyd George promised us ‘a land fit for heroes’.

IT WAS ALWAYS TIME TO START LOOKING AFTER OUR OWN.

Thing is, folks, the Harold Wilsons, Edward Heaths, Maggie Thatchers, Tony Blairs, Gordon Browns and Chris Hudsons will NEVER, EVER get round to doing such an outrageous thing as looking after the ethnic British.

What, look after the native Brit? In his own land? Where all his ancestors are buried? When we've got a billion immigrants and their dependants who need looking after first? Don't make us elite, leafy-suburbians laugh!

The trick is, people, if you want to be looked after, you've got to do it yourselves. You've got to put your own first. Just like all the cuddly-wuddly immigrants who've piled into our country in the last 60 years ALWAYS put their own first.

Can any of you think of just one immigrant who stood up for us in all that time? Someone who said, hey, you politically correct! Stop playing all those creepy, Marxist mind games with the nice, kind, tolerant, fair-minded and trusting British who let us into their beautiful country! They deserve better!

I can't think of anyone who fits such a description.
