Dec 2006 Today there is a lot of talk about charging everyone for every mile they use their cars. This would reduce the number of cars on the road and I would be one of them myself. The poorest would be affected the most, so I would look for a fairer system. At the present time we do not encourage the use of the road for the full 24 hours. The main reason is because the noise would keep people awake at night. This could be overcome by the use of ear defenders. Various sizes, various styles and various strengths could soon be available so that everyone could find the one that is most suitable and covers all situations. December 2005 Political General standards of crime have gradually gone downwards over the past 50 years. It is too much to think that all Home Secretary’s of State, both Labour and Conservative Governments have all been poor despite the calling for the Governments to do something, by the people of Britain. If we look round to see who else might have a big say in what goes on it only leaves the Police and the Barristers. It is my understanding that the Police are not happy when catching a criminal that the courts do not take the necessary action, considered by the Police, to be appropriate. Political Sept 2004 One thing that the Prime Minister seems to have forgotten is nobody likes foreigners running their country or assisting as the Americans are doing. 50% of the problem is that the Americans have taken far too long in creating a temporary government and getting the Iraqi military and police to bring back peace to the streets of Iraq. It took only approx 25 days to topple Saddam. On day 26 negotiations should have started with the Iraq police and what was left of the Iraqi military to re-align them selves to a new Iraq and the promise of a speedy exit of American troops as the Iraqi troops take a firm control of the situation. If the President and the PM closed their eyes and imagined that if they gave the orders to start the war that their eldest son had to put on some Army Kit and then go on the front line, and stay on the front line until the war was over, would that make any difference to their decisions to go to war/ I know their wives would have a lot to say about it, and I believe that the scientists in Iraq would be flown out with their families and that the chance of a break through would be good. With some proof France and Russia would find it more difficult to say that Saddam should stay on as President of the Iraqy people.
