  1. I'm starting to like Nick Clegg's policies.

The smell of the crumbs of a morsel of power and the ministerial perks that go with it was enough Lib Dem leadership betray their principles and the principles of their members. The Lib Dems are finished as serious political party, as their leaders are prepared to throw their lot in with the Tories for minor seats at the table. They have been absorbed into the Tory party machine.I believe Lib Dem members will split into factions at the next General Election as the party they belonged to no longer exists.

How ironic that they offer voting reform to the liberals and yet in the very scenario of PR voting they are unable to deal with their closest political allay. What does that tell you??
Explain to me how 18 years of Tory government was worse than the 13 years of Labour's. Because as far as I can tell Labour are incapable of admitting mistakes and subsequent failures, the Tories

  3. Let's rebrand the Liberals

    Untitled-1.jpg
NOW THAT Nick Clegg, pictured above, is the captain of the Conservative 2nd XI he will, no doubt, want to do what so many of the heads of private companies and former publicly owned utilities have done before and rebrand his rag-bag of a political army.
After all the name Liberal Democrats scarcely does justice to the important role the party is taking in today’s political scene.
He could start with a new name. That would be near-certain to send the poll ratings upwards. How about Tory Lites. Modern, accurate and simple, could be attractive?
Or the more formal The Reserve Conservative and Unionist Party of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - the trouble is that would have to add the modern warning - May contain nuts, so might end up being ...
  4. The loss of everything you own and, your human dignity, is nearer than you think.

The weasel words sibilently hiss from 10 Dirt St, evoking the 'Dunkirk' spirit and the myth of the brave people of England, stalwarthly baring up and giving their best, for the good of the country, bravely starving on meagre rations, all for the 'war effort'. It was far from the truth then, as the records of The Savoy have proved, The Politicos did not starve, they did in fact live in clover and, even then it was at your expense.

All of this political jargon about, stable government, our need to reduce The Deficit, return to prosperity, get the country back on its feet is exactly the same guff as every psuedo dictator spews out to the downtrodden masses: who, even if such a miracle were to occur, would not get to change their miserable existences by an iota. Those of us, who ...

  5. Stand Lady, Stand

THESE DAYS you would have to spend an entire wet weekend searching to find a politician, of any party, who isn’t earnestly seeking to ‘engage’ with the voting public. Of course there is the occasional oddball who, determined to show a radical streak, goes one step further and insists that he will ‘re-engage’ with the rest of us.
Apart from that there seems to be precious little difference between the lot of them. The leaders of the main parties, those seeking to be the leaders of the main political parties and the close associates of the leaders of the main political parties all look the same, have similar voices and mouth the self-same platitudes at the drop of a television station cheque.
Nick Clegg and David Cameron are complete and utter duplicates of each other. The brothers ...
