Landlord stands for BNP in target Manchester seat

A MANCHESTER pub landlord is to stand for the British National Party in a key area of the inner city.

Derrick Adams, who runs the Ace of Diamonds pub in Miles Platting will contest the Gorton South seat left vacant after the death of Lib/Dem Councillor and former Lord Mayor, James Ashley.

Gorton South is typical of areas targeted by the BNP. It is a traditionally white working class area where growing numbers of Asian families are settling.

The party hope to exploit feeling of neglect among low income white families.

The BNP's regional spokesman David Jones said: "I think we'll get a good result because it's an area hard done by the council."

And the typically Marxist response from the usual suspects.......

Danis Fernando, of Manchester Unite Against Fascism said: "We're very concerned about them standing particularly on the matter of undermining multi-culturalism."
