| BNP National Conference. Over 200 BNP qualifying members gathered in Blackpool over the weekend to take the Party to new levels of professionalism and effectiveness.
A splendid gala dinner at a hotel on the seafront launched the weekend on the Friday evening, followed by a passionate address from Party Chairman Nick Griffin about the failure of the corrupt New Labour regime to successfully prosecute himself and Party colleague Mark Collett, despite over £1 million of taxpayers’ money being wasted to gather evidence, carry out the police investigation over a 12 month period and two failed prosecutions in Leeds Crown Court.
Saturday saw a packed training day as delegates arrived from all parts of the United Kingdom. If the British National Party is to secure significant gains at all the forthcoming elections; municipal, regional assembly, Holyrood and the 2009 European elections the party needs a much larger activist base armed with the key skills of electioneering, media production and unit management to conduct winning campaigns. The whole purpose of the training day was to address the skills gap but scores of recent raw recruits are proving themselves willing to acquire all the skills necessary to run election campaigns. Even old and experienced hands were able to learn something new as new opportunities in media production and use of new technology make themselves available.
Workshops
In addition to the practical workshops on canvassing, production of local leaflets, creating personalized election addresses and the key elements of our campaign for the 2007 local authority elections, delegates also heard about how liberalism is the number one enemy of the British people and how it can be successfully challenged by asymmetric warfare, plus ideological addresses on the role of culture in British nationalist politics and a presentation of key historical figures in the history of our nation who inspired modern British nationalism.
It was without doubt a tremendously well received day of excellence by the delegates who will take the Party to the next level of success.
Sunday saw a full day of the Conference with internal procedural motions and external policy motions discussed.
Motions discussed
The following external motions were discussed by a variety of delegates, all with passion and enthusiasm and demonstrate the broad range of policy issues the BNP is now ready and capable of debating. The wide range of professional experience acquired first hand in employment, business, military service, personal endeavours which our growing leadership corps possesses will prove to be a key element in our winning strategy.

Promise
