| Corsham gets first BNP Town Councillor http://www.bnp.org.uk/reg_showarticl...contentID=2384 North Wiltshire Constituency British National Party official Mick Simpkins was this morning confirmed as the Party's first Town Councillor for Corsham - now famous for its BNP community safety patrols. Councillor Simpkins appointment follows the withdrawal of a Conservative candidate from the town's Rudloe ward. Councillor Simpkins wrtes:- I am delighted to be elected as the Councillor for Rudloe parish ward on Corsham Town Council. I was looking forward to a head to head challenge from Mrs Marsden, the Conservative candidate, as it was a challenge I believe that I could easily have won. Mrs Marsden must, presumably, also have thought the same as she decided to withdraw from the contest and opted for the easier seat of Pickwick. I shall now aspire to do my very best for all the people of Rudloe parish and will be a strong voice for them on the town council. British National Party - Standing Up for Our Communities.      |
