House of Commons Whisky is awful! Is a nasty blended whisky much like Teachers or Bells. I would not have a bottle if it was given to me. Having David Cameron's signature just makes it even more distasteful.

I should put up a nice bottle of Glenfiddich (18 year old) signed by Marxist Nutter. Much better value!!!

Probably not the best day to be having a dig at David Cameron, especially when we consider the cause he was helping to raise money for .

I wasn't having a dig at the cause, just the crap whisky, as I am someone who has been un/lucky enough to try some!

Out of interest has anyone tried the House of Commons wine??

Although I'm highly dubious about the value-added aspect - as a self-proclaimed socialist of the far left how could you even be thinking of a profit motive - it's a decent malt I'll give you that

I do prefer either Macallan or Talisker myself - I'm looking at a bottle of 25 year old Talisker right now, but it's a bit early in the day - but the appreciation of whisky is a very individual thing. Glad to see you've such a good taste!

Never had that pleasure , but i would have thought our wonderful parliamentarians would have access to a HoC cellar cram packed with the finest wines.

    OOOOOH Talisker is gorgeous!!!!!!!

I was not thinking about profit; but about doing the same as Dave and putting it up for Charity!!

I have just read about his son in the news so i now see what Albion meant by the poor taste of my earlier remarks. Still the tragic death of his son does not warm me to his politics or his personality and is no reason to stop having a dig at him or his party at every opportunity.

Yeah it is. I see my comments were in bad taste but were made before I knew. However my cynicism is so bad these days I'm just waiting for him to try and make political capital out of this tragedy.

Terribly sorry for all of them, glad to see that Brown postponed QT in consideration (after all he knows how it feels). Something nobody should have to go through.

Can't our magnificent parliamentarians go down to Lidl with £40 and get one bottle of Azerbaijani Ouzo per bench?

Azerbaijani Ouzo, good grief!! Are you serious that there's such stuff? I like the proper Greek Ouzo, but from Azerbaijan; I really wouldn't care to comment on that

Considering that Azerbaijan is a muslim country, I doubt very much that such a product exists. If it did I imagine it would be like a mixture of bisto and mayonaise.
