No Dougie you are wrong again, are all squaddies tall and burley?????WTF is Tall and burley?
Im under 6 foot(always have been) my Brother is 6 ft 7, i never felt all that tall oddly enough.Burley to me meens of a large build, i think we discussed how squaddies are not so, carrying their body weight plus their PLCE, bergan and IW around required that ones weight is low but strength is high. The army PT donst build large body builder types, it develops fast, agile, strong, cardiovascularly fit individuals who maintain a low BMI in order to help them perform effectivly in their chosen job.Five foot eight inches and 160lbs is the average weight and size of a squaddie in the british army.Members of the Special Forces(SAS) tend to be smaller and lighter than their Infantry counterparts(going by personal experience, i managed to complete the first 2 weeks of selection before i fell out, i was too big and heavy to complete the tabs required, my feet were agaony once the boots came off, none of the bigger lads were badged on my intake, 7 out of the 600 who first attempted finally passed, all 6 were 5'5 or 5'6 and 135 to 155lbs).You are wrong, squaddie do not need to rob students, they are paid too well.Another thing you wouldnt know anything about.Perhaps the Irish people you talk about were Tinkers(Irish Gypsies).
The Irish Guards all have British accents, generally tend to be Protestant and would nor wish to hang around in an Irish pub.
