Sounds like you're talking about the left wing and their social policies there Furbar!
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised 'for the good of its victims' may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us 'for our own good' will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." -- C.S. Lewis

Interesting topic Fubar and of course each of the specific areas you mention are part of the daily British life. They are as Midas comments all aspects of the left-wing liberal agenda too. I think in a sense they are to an extent all interlinked, the liberal left agenda clearly has moved away from traditional stomping grounds of the 'working class' and now incorporates anti-discrimination whether racial, gender or sexual as a core principal.

The implementation of the 1965 Race Relations Act and the subsequent Acts of 1968, 1976 and 2001 have done much to remove the discrimination black and Asian members of our society. No reasonable person in the United Kingdom accepts that housing or employment should be withheld based on race. The issue I feel is, that we now have a situation whereby certain areas of social policy 'positively' discriminates against ethnic 'whites' -in employment and education this is surely not the correct method of raising the opportunity in ethnic communities. The Commission of Racial Equality (CRE) has morphed into the Equality of Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and has, as its core principal:

Our job is to promote equality and human rights, and to create a fairer Britain. We do this by providing advice and guidance, working to implement an effective legislative framework and raising awareness of your rights.
I wonder how much promotion or human rights the EHRC would provide to white heterosexual males, aged 25-49 without a disability - if a case of positive discrimination was being fought. The EHRC are a minority centric organisation not an inclusive one to fight all aspects of discrimination. I wonder what the EHRC would make of a employment opportunity being RRA exempt in favour of a prospective white candidate? The problem is we now have a society afraid to debate the issue of race! The left-wing liberal agenda will close down any debateintelligent or otherwise with accusations of racism.

Most people experiencing change; moving home, changing jobs, having children will attest to feeling stressed, even fearful! The liberal left have realised (as have the right) that keeping the population in a constant state of change has wonderful political implications. The politics of fear has often been the precursor to major policy measures that alter the nature of our way of life. This could be changing the economic model or bringing tough anti-terror laws that curtail the individual freedoms of all citizens - not just those committing terror crimes. The population have no alternative but to accept a restriction in freedom in exchange for safety - but to quote Benjamin Franklin "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." I think this says it all really.

That covers points one and two. I have opinion on all the areas you mention from how feminism has turned from a movement of good intentions to one of male emasculation as a sole concept and how the Cradle to Grave concept is the root cause of all the issues that affect our country.
    fubar and British like this.

I know you only wanted comment on one or two Fubar, but there's a common theme running through them, that is, blaming the government or outside influence for society's problems.

There has been no encouragment of drinking or the break-up of families. Higher alcoholism and family break-up is nothing to do with government, in fact, they've been passing all sorts of legislation to combat both these things. Teaching sex to children is a necessity. Its impossible to go back to the innocent days of old, now that kids are exposed to sexualised images on TV, the internet, even on their phones (!) from such a young age. Sex education can be taught without encouraging sex, again the intention is almost always the opposite!

The media appears dumbed down because there simply is no appetite for higher-brow entertainment, look at the viewing figures for BBC Four. They are abysmal. Whereas ITV pulls in the millions for "Celebrities Eating Wasps" or whatever its called and all other manner of talent show variations. Its not a case of intentionally dumbing down, rather that broadcasters are reacting to what proves popular. And more often than not what proves popular is ****. Its also a by-product of multi-platform media whereby there is less investment in traditional TV programming and advertiser-funded broadcasters (like ITV) are less likely to take risks as it compromises their potential advertising revenue.

Immigration and the dilution of national identity go hand in hand, and on this issue you may have a point. Its says something for the current government that they have only the defence of incompetence, when looking to justify their immigration policy. Did they really think people from the eastern block wouldn't flock to the UK in their thousands when we opened up the borders?! Whether this was a specific plot to undermine the indigenous white British voter's influence, I'm not so sure, but the current excuse of "we didn't think this would happen" just doesn't cut it.

You points about family dynamics are again seeking to place blame on government for the changes that society as a whole demanded. I see no problem with a woman wanting to work to support her family, or a woman in the armed forces for that matter, and do not see how these are attempts to "oppress male dominance".

As for the emptying of churches, you can't force people to go to church. It represents a shift towards a more secular society and I don't see that as necessarily a bad thing.

basically it's a quite comprehensive list of everything my Mum complains about!

and take one of your choosing and make a comment on it if you would.
would like to see what you opinions are.
Hmmm just one? Not sure I can choose!
    1.The creation of racism offences.
good thing in theory, but the balance has gone too far threatening freedom of speech.
    2.continual change to create confusion
Better than perpetually standing still and who exactly is confused?
3.The teaching of sex and homosexuality to children
Keeping them in the dark has done wonders for teenage pregnancy rates.
4.The undermining of schools and teachers' authority
I just don't see it, but I have no experience with secondary education so...
    5.huge immigration to destroy identity.
more of a problem because it's perceived as such than an actual problem imo.
    6.The promotion of excessive drinking
Didn't need much promoting did it. I blame the supermarkets and the free market, hell I blame Thatcher!
    7.Emptying of churches
I blame sunday trading - oh blame the Tories again!
8.An unreliable legal system with bias against the victims of crime
same one we've had for many years, an area where change is totally necessary perhaps?
9.Dependency on the state or state benefits
    I blame Thatcher.
10.Control of and dumbing down of media
can't think how but I blame Thatcher!
11.Encouraging the breakdown of the family
    Thatcher's fault!
12.attack the authority of the farther, deny the specific roles of farther and mother, and wrest away from families their right as educators of their children.
Perhaps the distance between patriarch and offspring does need to be reconsidered.
13.abolish differences in education of boys and girls
    Thatch.
14.abolish all forms of male dominance-hence the presence of woman in the armed forces
    Definately Thatcher's fault!
15.declare women to be 'oppressed class' and men as oppressors'
For many years both were true, not so much these days I agree.

Thats some list fubar,Whats this ? bloody question time?

So no 1. The racism offences. There is no such thing a racist offence.Racism is a made up word of the liberal left.OK there are some nutters who will commit crimes against their fellow man for no other reason than because they are of a different race but its not racism. They are nutters and if they diddnt have a few ethnics to pick on it would be something else

I feel this just creates more tension and creates more issues than it does solve. Any sort of abuse should be treated as the abuse it is (i.e. verbal) instead of playing the race card.
If race doesnt matter then why does it have so many laws around it.

I wouldnt approve of teaching it to anyone younger.

It is critical that we reduce immigration drastically, and soon.

Define promotion? Im a student and excessive drinking is my middle name. I see adverts for nights out but not often actual drinks.

Even if churches continue to empty, they shouldnt be turned into mosques.
Some kind of day care centre or community place would be a much better idea.

Boys do a lot better in practical work and girls excel in coursework.
Up untill coursework became more dominant in the cirriculum boys used to excel.
I think there needs to be a better balance.

Like Op, I will answer with small sentences

    1.The creation of racism offences.
I hate them. Though the intent behind them may be admirable, the result is never that. It results in the erosion of freedom and the politically correct nature we now experience.

3.The teaching of sex and homosexuality to children
I have no issue with sex being taught to children, but I am not fond of homosexuality being taught to children.

4.The undermining of schools and teachers' authority
Teachers have absolute authority within the class room, and schools have absolute authority over its pupils. The school and teachers need the power to actually control pupils and ensure that the disruptive pupils cannot interrupt those that wish to learn.

    5.huge immigration to destroy identity.
I have made my opinion known on this issue over this forum. I detest mass immigration and believe in a very strict immigration system.

    6.The promotion of excessive drinking
Drinking should not be promoted in anyway shape or form.

    7.Emptying of churches
It is a shame, however, people have a right to decide their faith or here lack of.

9.Dependency on the state or state benefits
Very bad. We need to literally kick people off benefits and force them back into work. There are only a couple of acceptable reasons for benefits

    - You have just lost your job due to problems outside of your control and you need a little help
    - You have become so injured you cannot realistically work

10.Control of and dumbing down of media
The media can report in a manner that pleases their viewers.
    I support the BBC.

11.Encouraging the breakdown of the family
If there is any encouragement of family breakdown it is a disgrace.
A priority for any Government is to ensure the stability of family. It is the best social construct.

12.attack the authority of the farther, deny the specific roles of farther and mother, and wrest away from families their right as educators of their children.
The authority of the mother and father is absolute and should not be questioned.

13.abolish differences in education of boys and girls
Boys and girls learn differently, thus should be taught in a manner best accustomed to their ability to learn.

14.abolish all forms of male dominance-hence the presence of woman in the armed forces
I support, as long as it removes discrimination and does not merely move it from one group to another as has been witnessed under the Labour Government

15.declare women to be 'oppressed class' and men as oppressors'
    ********.
