Is Nick Griffin a good leader for the BNP

I know the BNP is a tiny party and not particularly worthy of so much discussion but I wondered how Nick Griffin became the best choice to lead the party? Did he have to win a contest competing with other potential candidates?

From an outside BNP perspective (i.e. not from inside or supportive of the party) I wonder if he is the right leader because he's so bad or is he just the best they've got?

Griffin simply became a better leader than Tyndall as he turned around the party from a racist extremist party, to a more mainstream one. Voters preferred an educated cambridge man to Tyndall.

As I have overtly stated before, I am not a fan of Griffin.
    I dont like his attitude.
I dont like the way he debates.
    I dont like his face.

In my opinion Simon Darby or maybe even Andrew Brons would be a lot more credible as they have no convictions and present themselves as decent people.

However if theres one thing I give Griffin credit for its turning around the party and bringing it into modern politics.

For reasons which they could not comprehend, and in pursuance of a decision by default, on which they were never consulted, they found themselves made strangers in their own country.

All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal. - Enoch Powell, Rivers of Blood speech, 1968.

I think Griffin may be costing the BNP votes. I found it very hard to disagree with almost everything the BNP say, however they don't say enough about issues other than immigration. Perhaps a woman or black leader would give the party a slightly softer feel. Oh, and they do openly encourage black people to join the party.

    No Chance

Nick Griffin is a part of a party that is hated by the majority and ignored by the rest. With a small minority supporting. Remind you of someone at one point! Well one thing that sets they two apart is the fact that he is not a man of obvious ability in oratory, the BNP could do with someone with a more striking personality than a man that slivers like the lizard he truly is. Even as much as i disagree with their politics, i would say they would be more succesfull with a different leader. but for the party this is a catch 22 situation, by becoming more centralised he is ousting the hardliners in his party, which make the majority of his support. Nick Griffin may very well spell the end of the BNP as a small political force. For the more marginal supporters of the BNP i would advice your allegences to sway toward the UKIP. As much as i hate the centralised politics of Labour and Conservative. There is no place in Britian for racism.

    Hi,

it can be argued that The BNP's achievement in obtaining 2 MEPs can largely be attributed to Nigel Farage and his aids like Mark Croucher in constructing a Reichstag Fire Moment and an attempted Crystal Nacht - hugely raising the profile of the BNP as a means of providing a feared alternative to give rise to the belief in the MSM that the BNP were a real threat whilst support of EUkip just might counter support for the BNP.

The BNP's refusal to renounce their foundations and early funding by the American White Supremacist movement and their gleeful entertainment of killing some 4-5,000 mostly young men solely by virtue of their colour by mostly lynching or dragging.

Similarly the refusal to renounce their strong roots in anti Judaism and the funding of Lady Birdwood and her supporters.

The BNP have no future in these United Kingdoms but they were merely elected as a result of EUkip raising them as a threat for their own gain.

It is interesting to note that Farage and his cronies have opted to conjoin in forming a Pan EU Political Party in its nascent form comprising some of the most rabidly racist, xenophobic anti Jewish extremists who advocate violence and murder to achieve their ends - perhaps Farage hopes to absorb the BNP having raised their hopes and results whilst moving his own party to racist extremism in its allies.

There is no long term future for the BNP without the continued aid of EUkip's new racist allegiances.

    Regards,
    Greg L-W.
