The Educational Resources thread we had seems to be one of those which have (hopefully only temporarily) vanished into thin air, however pending it's reappearance, I thought I'd post this - The Khan Academy - which is a completely free academy, almost exclusively on YouTube, which has over 1,000 videos on a range of subjects from the most basic of maths through to using the Laplace Transform to solve a nonhomogenous equation (whatever that is!), grouped into maths, physics, chemistry, biology, finance and investing. I haven't looked at it in detail, but at first glance it looks like a wonderful resource for anyone who wants to increase their knowledge in any basically mathematical or scientific subject.
There's a good introductory video to watch here:-

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised 'for the good of its victims' may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us 'for our own good' will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." -- C.S. Lewis
