Cameron is getting desperate. In spite of Union strife and his best efforts to hold on to his waining popularity, the electorate are deserting his bandwagon. His answer is to employ Saatchi and Saatchi to attack and demonise Gordon brown in a highly nasty personalised way which only Saatchi and Saatchi can do.

Personal attacks on Brown by the Tories have so far back fired and have been seen as bullying in nature and a cover for the absence of real policy statements coming from the party. This latest change of tactics is a gamble and has proved a failure in the past and will be seen by the electorate as Cameron's dearth of credibility in his desperation to re-introduce Punch and Judy style politics which he vowed to discard.
