He said he wanted to become famous for his political achievements. But yesterday a Tory MP was thrown into the spotlight for a very different reason – after his wife of seven years was exposed as a £70-an-hour prostitute.
Mike Weatherley, 53, was one of the new wave of MPs who came to power with Prime Minister David Cameron earlier this year.
The father-of-three took his blonde wife to functions in the run-up to the General Election, and just two months ago she was photographed visiting the Houses of Parliament.

At least she is offering a service. More than the MPs who are screwing us
Vote BNP

My impression is that they are not married in any real sense anymore, so I hope the muck rakers give the bloke a break. I can't comment on her 'work' choice, who knows why people do what they do, but I'd rather the press focused their undercover investigations on the people who are hurting others.
Well I suppose since the clamp down on MPs' expenses she needed a little extra housekeeping. Maybe he even knew about it. There have been worse goings on over the years both with the Royals and those who govern us.
My view on this is that if there is any sort of agreement and collusion on his part then he deserves the wrath of the media, public and if necessary the law, if he did not know about this then it should be left well alone as a family affair to give this guy space to work out what the hell is going on in his private life.
Just because i'm paranoid, doesn't mean their not after me!!!
Maybe he is a homosexual like many of the coalition guys and is using a prostitute as his beard , otherwise surely he would have divorced her?
I think is one of those cases where a persons private life should overide the right of the press to report, it's not newsworthy and has no real value to the public. It's not as is her husband forced her into it and was living off the proceeds (if so then it would be newsworthy).
The richest man is not he who has the most but he who needs the least.
I have only seen the headline to this thread and my first thought was how super that she was effectively, being the bike rather than getting on it and looking for work - initiative right there!
Hi,
why malign the woman - of course she had a value to the public from what I hear from hookers I have known (non biblically) she had a huge value to the public far more than her husband as an MP he is useless with no meaningfull job and on a good night at £70 a trick she could turn £400 an hour.
Having spent some time in Brazil I'm astonished as who pays!

There seems to be some confusion here.
Was it £70 a time or £70 an hour, as the earnings rates could be very different.
I do hope that HMRC are onto this. Should be in the supertax bracket.

I'm going to have to ask. If we talk about drug addicts, prostitutes, the homeless, single underage mothers and young abused boys - you know them. Your response to their plight (and I am in no way implying that your consistent insistence on spending time there is prurient at all) is to mention it in posts.
Why aren't you giving out the sandwiches and helping them towards hostels etc? Do you consider yourself a documentary maker who forgot the camera, and the mike? Personally I think you are looking at this forum for some kind of political end and want to use any favourable responses you get here towards that.
I would remind you that every person here has the right to agree to any of their posts used by you in that respect and so does the forum...a lot of red tape right there.
So in this current financial climate someone is able to make a few bob, thats nice, at least she has something to fall back on.
£70?!!!!!
