We certainly have organisations like the UN and the OECD who think that they can over-ride many national laws irrespective of the sovereignty of independent member countries by applying subtle, and at times rather unsubtle, pressure, but to stretch that to imply that there's any worldwide organised political manipulation going on, is, in my view, conspiracy for conspiracy's sake.

There is a desire for organisations like the UN to enlarge their frontiers and grow bigger over time, but I do not see this as conspiracy, but rather an obvious open show of wanting to occupy much larger portions of planet earth as time progresses. It is in the nature of any organisation to want to grow and expand its vision, how much more an inter- or supranational one. It is the human condition. The UN are on a practical peace mission, like where they are by Russia's frontiers and offering a line to Ukrainians et al. Look at Javier Solana's available reported speeches and his work of engineering the peaceful diplomatic negotiations with as many countries as possible. I think he is a good man, and is doing a fine job of at least trying for a oneworld empire based in the UN and/or the EU (as he is a Spaniard) in which there will be no more dispute or conflict. I'd take my hat off to him if I wore one! We need people like him in the world, who are positively trying to undermine the threat of nuclear holocaust and of division in the world. I would like to work with him or someone like him one day.
It is not so much that they were closet globalists-or globalizers, if you like-but that they did/do not have much/enough confidence and support from other peoples (like the public). I would rather live under a protective global banner afforded by the benevolence of such organisations like the UN, than under an uncertain future in an insecure world that could break up and descend into war at any time. This is what the building of Babel was all about, a united peoples so that we do not become scattered a second time and so our historical turmoil repeat itself. Can we not all live on the same planet together in mutual respect and peace; then why not a global government to conduct and oversee our affairs for us? What is the alternative but instability and revolutionary factions?

I agree with the sediment thus far. I don't think there is any secret globalists. But i do like a good conspiracy. I would actually like to see a global organization or government. Our economies are global our communications are global, and we have different cultures all over the world. there is to much corruption because the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and a global government could see things right in my opinion.
