Hi folks.
I've just caught up with a 'Breitbart' article, which reports that Iran's view of America remains a basically negative one.

Quote ..
'A rare poll of Iranians says that few of them have favorable opinions of the United States, a view that hasn't changed much from before the election of President Barack Obama.
The survey, taken last month, shows that 29 percent of Iranians view the U.S. positively. In February 2008, a similar poll of Iranians showed 34 percent with favorable views of the U.S.'
This is apparently a poll that's a month old, and also apparently, such polls are rare.
This might be of interest, though ..

.. various countries' reactions are listed.
For Iran, I see ..
'With regard to Iran, the tone is significantly more positive than before, compared to the previous US administration, though still in some aspects negative. But I think Iranians alongside the people of the region expect the same change that Obama was promising to the American people, for American policies in the Middle East region as well. America has to change. Talking is not enough. As long as racism and apartheid continue to exist in Palestine there will be no peace in the region.

This reports that the Iranians did not broadcast Obama's speech live. And it suggests that reaction would be 'jaded' ..
Perhaps, if they manage to get a replacement for Ahmadinejad after the upcoming election, this may change. But somehow I've my doubts ... and, if support for the Obama initiative remains patchy, what future will it have .. especially considering the concerns over their nuclear ambitions ?
