It is Philippines problem, internal problem, they need to hunt down the attackers and lock them up.
It isn't America's problem.

Philippine president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo trusted political ally the Ampatuan clan of Maguindanao province in Mindanao Island committed crime against humanity murdering 57 person--including 3 lady lawyers and 12 journalist.
What can the western power US and UK, benefactor/supporter of Philippine governments and human rights advocates do about this?
Violation of human rights in China, Afghnistan, Iraq, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela is there any difference?

Jesus said in Luke 13:5, "unless you repent you will all likewise perish"
Fair comment.
However, in the present Obama, "We don't want to be involved in other countries politics" (which may or may not be true) attitude, I can't see America getting directly involved.
I see one of the chief suspects has turned himself in:

Mate we have here thousands of US servicemen all over Mindanao "exercising war capability" with Abu Sayyaf, an Islamic militant group that is associated with Al-Queda.
It isn't America's problem? Then why is US and UK bawling over violations of human rights, freedom of expressions, torture and ill treatment of activist and many other rights in China, Iran, Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, Afghanistan, Iraq, North Korea, Burma, etc....
Is US and UK on a selective mode with regards to human rights violations of other countries?

Is UK and US concerns themselves only with the freedom and safety of Iranian, Iraqi, North Korean and PRO-Chinese journalist?Norwegian media to RP govt: Bring massacre suspects to court
OSLO, Norway - The Norwegian Journalist Union in Oslo called on the Philippine government to act swiftly in resolving the murders of 30 Filipino journalists in Maguindanao province.
"We strongly urge the Philippine government to catch and bring to court the people behind this (horrible killings.) There are no excuses, they must be found. The government must give a very strong signal to both the Filipino people and to the outside world that this cannot go on," Thomas Spence, Vice-president of the Norsk Journalistlag (Norwegian Journalist
Union) told ABS-CBN Europe in an interview.
The union from Norway recently signed a resolution together with other journalist unions from Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Denmark calling for an "end to the impunity" and for the Philippine government "to bring the murderers of the 59 people including 30 journalists in Maguindanao and more than 100 other killings of journalists and media people to justice" at a Nordic journalist conference held in Helsingfors, Finland last November 30.
Philippine massacre was not even given the fair time like Iran, Iraq, North Korea and China to be aired in CNN and BBC channels.
I accept that both the US and UK have made errors in the past in our foreign policies and involvement in other nations, but where does it state we are to be the world's police? I am sorry to say that this tragedy is a matter for the Philippine authorities. This is a criminal act by murderous scum, but no more so than is perpetrated by terror groups almost daily in some part of the world.
This is NOT a matter for the UK and US authorities. I accept that perhaps investigative help could be proferred at a civilian level (FBI or Scotland Yard), but this is as far as any involvement should be...do you not think we have crime in our own nations?
