Concerning the collapse of the Juba Alliance Forces, the question is no longer about their failure to crystallize a unified stance toward the elections, but the issue is about the nature of these forces and their abilities to fulfill the aspirations of the Sudanese political arena, and to play a role in pushing the democratic process ahead.
The whole democratic experiences in the world were weak at the beginning. However, the continuous assessment of the political parties to their agendas together with the democratic practice within the parties themselves has strengthened the democratic rule.
No doubt that most of the current Sudanese political powers do not have the ability to continue in the election contest as they lost a lot of their members and failed to create new leaders and to keep pace with the political development in Sudan.
If you take the Umma party as example, you will notice that the party has failed to bring a single new political leader except Dr. Mariam Al-Sadeq, the daughter of the leader of the Umma party, Al-Sadeq Al-Mahdi.
The Democratic Unionist Party has gone through the same experience. The Democratic Party suffers from splits and internal disputes a matter that led the party to follow the steps of the SPLM.
The Democratic Unionist party decision of withdrawing his candidate for the presidential elections upon the withdrawal of the SPLM presidential candidate is a clear sign that the decisions of the party are no longer independent.
As of the Sudanese Communist Party, the handful numbers of members with the same old leadership are quite enough to realize how miserable this party is.
The collapse of the Sudanese political parties makes realization of real democratic practice impossible. In fact, it does not make sense to expect to a flawless democratic practice because realization of such goal requires decades of democratic experience the current parties are not capable to participate in .This situations make the Sudanese political scene looks very miserable.
Thus, it is not impossible to witness continuous disputes that will affirm incorrectness of those who claimed keenness to the democratic transference.
