A charity worker on a troubled estate claims authorities dealing with reports of race-hate incidents are themselves guilty of discrimination - because they do not take complaints seriously when victims are white.

Martyn Hancock, of East Bristol Advice & Information Centres, spoke out after the Evening Post reported on a series of attacks by yobs on Somali people in the Hillfields area.

Mr Hancock said problems with gangs of youths targeting residents date back up to six years but received little attention before residents from the city's estimated 15,000 Somali population started to be targeted..............
