I am writing to you about something that I feel is very important, and I hope after you have listened to the idea you will want to help me in this task. If you listen to the news or read the papers you will have realised how the world has completely gone to pot. With war raging in the middle east, the tribal conflict in Kenya, and here in the west where gangs roam the streets fighting, stabbing, and killing. We have drugs on the streets, and women selling their bodies, all this makes me sad and fearful of what will become of us.
One night I lay awake pondering over all the troubles people face and I wondered how could we change things for the better. I felt the world was in a hopeless state and things were only going to get worse rather than better. Then it came to me prayer was the answer, if EVERYONE prayed for the same thing God would answer us. So why do we not have a World Prayer Day. The idea being EVERYONE round the world praying simultaneously, though all religions are different they all have the same base of good moral standards, and I do not believe that any religion would oppose this idea.
This may sound like an impossible task, but I believe it is possible if it is properly advertised. That is why I need your help, I need you to help me advertise World Prayer Day. The date of World Prayer Day will be on March 17 2010 3:00p.m. GMT. I know that if it is worldwide it will mean for some people it will not be March 17 and it will mean praying in the early hours of the morning, for others it may mean praying late in the evening, but this small sacrifice will be worth it. The year 2010 was chose so that hopefully by that time everyone around the world will have heard of World Prayer Day. If everyone prayed for 20 mins first of all asking for forgiveness then praying for world peace. People can pray in their mosques, synagogues, churches, temples, or you can pray at home, or your place of work, pray wherever you can just so long as you pray.
I want everyone to know that prayer is for everyone so I would like everyone to pray, remember we are all sinners. It is never to late to turn our lives around.
Now Iam asking you to help me spread the news of World Prayer Day. We can do this by contacting the newspapers, by leaflets or posters, and by telling family and friends.
