No, they are not fiddling their expenses thank God.
But they are fiddling their results:

Interesting revelations over the past 24 hours. It appears hackers have broken in to the computer systems of the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit. The hackers have released previously confidential emails into the public domain, and it appears that a number of leading scientists have been colluding and fiddling the results somewhat. The CRU have confirmed the hack and the emails to be genuine.

Naturally the BBC has failed to address/mention the issues of collusion or disingenuous publications, focusing solely on the security aspect. Such a shame the data has been leaked on numerous torrent sites for all to see...

Scientists fiddling the data to support the theory which keeps them gainfully employed. Who'd have thunk it? Oh wait, any rational human being, that's who. Makes interesting (if entirely unsurprising) reading.

It's an absolute outrage, but it had to come out in the end.
They've had a real bad time explaining the lack of warming since 2000, so they've been massaging and fiddling the figures.

It's all a conspiracy by the loonies.

However the following data is pretty solid

1. Fact: Polar caps are melting at an alarming rate
2. Fact: An area of rainforest the size of Wales is being destroyed everyday - you can even see this yourself on google earth
3. Fact: The planet is less able to reabsorb CO2 becoz of deforestation
4. Fact : We are chucking loads of Co2 in the air

Anyone wanna dispute any of this?

Disputing any of this is difficult, nay impossible without independent data.

"Fact" 1: How do we actually know this? Who are we going to rely on for reliable information, which has not been massaged in the same way as the Cambridge information appears to have been?

"Fact" 2: Yes, maybe it is, but other areas of the earth are being reforested at a reasonable rate, even in Europe. Even so, what has this got to do with climate change, unless you accept the pollution / CO2 / AGW links, which sceptics never have.

"Fact" 3 - Again, we are also reforesting, not to mention the absorption rate of oceans is absolutely huge. The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is measured in parts per million, is not easy to measure, therefore the figures are suspect.

"Fact" 4 - Yes we are chucking loads of CO2 into the air, however CO2 levels may have absolutely nothing to do with climate change.

In previous warm eras on the earth, (around 1000AD for example) there were none of the activities going on which the AGW proponents say has caused the current warming.
