The UK's carbon capture and storage (CCS) sector will be able to sustain 100,000 jobs by 2030 and generate up to £6.5bn a year, the government claimed today.
Unveiling a new strategy to encourage the growth of CCS, the energy and climate change secretary, Ed Miliband, said it represents a "massive industrial growth opportunity".

Jesus said in John 3:17, "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
Well if you assume that these people are paid at a basic level, and that these wages rise as they have in the last ten years, then that means in 2030 they would have a salary of almost £30,000 each. That covers £3 Billion straight off. Then you have the additional costs to the employer, which will be about another £1 billion, then operational costs which I can't even begine to guess at, and their figures seem not so much pie in the sky, but smoke in the wind and a lot of wasted hot air!
