Those Americans are too keen for seizing control under Greece. I am bursting with anger ‘cause during the number of years Americans have been outrageously putting their nose into every hole in here! In 2004 they “helped” anti-American socialist movement PASOK fail parliament election. I get the impression PASOK movement with its main slogans of which are “Greece for Greeks”, “PASOK in government is People in power” and “Down with Americans!” is the worst American enemy in Greece. So about a year ago there had been robbery of PASOK central office in Athens when just three computers with plans of party and information about party members disappeared.
Now the scandal in 2005 came withy the same American involvement. That time it turned out that all telephones of entire Ministry including Premier himself had been tapped by “unknown malefactors”. And Greek Premier announced this case as security threat. No doubt that that time the trace led to CIA or some of their helpers. But the primer was scary to make noise about the fact then.
The recent series of retirements in the government could also make a scandal with the American trace and heads of some corrupted politicians could be rolled….if their connections with American intelligence were revealed. You know these names…. head of National Safety General Staff Panagiotis Chinofotis, Minister of State and government spokesman Theodoros Roussopoulus, and Minister of Internal Affairs Prokopis Pavlopoulos. Official cause of their retirement is future premature election. In fact that election is held out so early just for get rid of pro-American politicians on the sly.
Imo instead of hiding the truth we should bring it to the broad daylight and make theme of the national debate on our priorities in inner and foreign policy. Personally I doubt our NATO membership has made Greece more safe and healthy.
