The Treaty of Lisbon

Fie for shame! Recent Brown’s decision on final rejection of holding a national-wide referendum on the Treaty of Lisbon in this country is a fatal degradation of British democracy!
Just look at it! Brown’s Cabinet has refused to submit this Reform Treaty for discussion, because in reality our current government distrusts own citizens, doubting their political maturity.
I tell you more. Labour fear that you and I are able to row up a new European Treaty, which should form the legal basis of the EU, replacing the rejected European Constitution. And in the face of continuing decline in Labour’s popularity it would mean a wonderful gift to their political opponents, namely, to Conservatives.
Thus, for the benefit of own political ambitions Labour sacrifice EU interests and, practically speaking, interests of British people, 60% of who (due to latest polls) are in favor of ratifying the Treaty of Lisbon precisely through the referendum!
